Every Spring as outdoor music festivals launch and my American friends get super excited for events like Broccoli Fest and Coachella, I sit by awaiting the day that Soca would have it’s own music festival where we can all come and jam to the best tunes for a whole day. My wish finally came true with the launch and roll out of Electric Karnival.
Electric Karnival is a vibrant, explosive event of color and music. A truly unique “Fourth of July” Independence Celebration — a fusion of (Electronic and Caribbean Music) cultures which highlight local and international musical abilities reflecting South Florida’s melting pot of Caribbean Dance Music (CDM).
Hosted by Tony X, Electric Karnival promises to deliver some of the top entertainers in the Caribbean space like Bunji Garlin and Walshy Fire of Major Lazer. There are several top Soca DJs to look forward to also, like DJ Private Ryan, Ryan Sayeed, Crown Prince, The Hypeman, LL Cool Blaze, and much more.
