Band Launch: Xaymaca International Launches for Jamaica Carnival 2019

November 2018 is band launch season for Jamaica Carnival 2019! Xaymaca International was the first to launch their “Iconic” theme on November 10th, presenting several historical figures.

Sections like Queen of the Nile and Prima Donna are bound to sell out quickly, so make sure you register as soon as possible. If you have no idea how to start planning your Jamaica Carnival 2019, please check out this guide.

As a Xaymaca Carnival veteran, I expected great amenities and customer service from them as delivered in 2017 and 2018. Are you going to be ICONIC in 2019?

  1. In the first sentence do you mean November 2018 or 2019? Asking as someone that’s in the beginning stages of learning abt Carnivals and making sure I have the right timing for planning

  2. Good morning. My team will be in Trinidad again this upcoming Carnival. Can you provide any suggestions how to get tickets for Vale or Caesar’s Army AM Bush? Any help is appreciated.

    1. Hi Anita, I would suggest reaching out to some of the listed committee members individually or utilizing concierge groups for tickets

  3. Hi if me and my friends are in two different bands (I’m in Prima Donna & they are in Xodus) would we be able to jump together until it’s time to cross the stage? Or will We have to stay in the band until it’s over?

    1. No you will not be able to jump together, you have to play mas in the same band for the parade. However, You are able to choose different sections [costumes] within that one band.

  4. Hi, I am excited to play with Xaymaca & this will be my first time playing mas in Jamaica. Thank you for sharing your trips especially the planner guide, its been a life saver!

I plan to register for the Psychedelic section, I read your article on how to carry home your feathers in a garment bag (genius idea). However, looking at the backpack, I am wondering do you think this trick will work since the backpack has those rods to extend the feathers out more? I just want to make sure I can carry it home with me or I will cry at the airport lol
