FETE LIST: Where to Party for Baltimore DC Caribbean Carnival 2015

Baltimore Washington One Carnival

Hola Carnival enthusiasts!

We have a good one for you, a local carnival (and much more cost effective) – DC Carnival festivities start in late June prior to the actual parade. Beginning June 20th weekend, there are several events happening in the DMV area. Some of the most notable events is the Hookie Pool Party and Lion’s Pride Jouvert. Hookie Pool Party is celebrating it’s 5th year and always sells out. Last year the party was live and we definitely encourage you to “duck work” for the day.

*Since 2017, Hookie now has their own Carnival Weekend. Check out the details for Hookie’s Carnival here*

The Festival continues at Lake Clifton Park until 10:00 pm; $10 entrance fee. On Sunday July 12, 2015 the Festival continues from Noon to 9:00 pm featuring entertainment, food and crafts. Admission: $15.00 per person.

There are several bands to register with if you want to play mas in the Baltimore/Washington parade. If you need carnival boots please check out Bacchanal Footwear. We have worked with them before and our boots lasted the whole time on the road. They’re definitely a needed accessory for your costume.
