Socially Distant Outdoor Experiences for the 2020 Holiday Season

Hi Loves,

This year went by so quickly, I cannot believe we’re in November already. Like you, I am trying to find new ways to experience the world around me in a safe manner. Many of these experiences listed are actually not new but have been slightly changed to accommodate social distancing protocols.

While you may have to travel out of state for some of these activities, there may be something near you so just do a quick google search.

Igloo Bar NYC – Spectacular NYC views and hot ciders, this Outdoor experience in NYC returns for another year. Due to COVID, they are no longer allowing strangers to share an igloo but you can reserve your spot here. The igloos are heated and robes will be provided, but you can always bring a cute throw to enhance your experience.Prices are standard NYC menu prices; this experience runs through May 2021

LuminoCity Festival – Returning for another year, LuminoCity is a dynamic holiday light and immersive art experience that will take place outdoors on Randall Island in NYC during the 2020 Holiday season. Tickets start at $38usd, plan your experience early.

The route takes visitors directly through a children’s play area, the outside area of the Green Farm barn and 1880s homestead. Trail of lights features music, a light tunnel and illuminated antique works on display. This runs from November 27 – January 3. Plan your visit here.

Happy Place is returning with a re-imagined drive through experience. Opening on November 20th, there will be the first car operated piano, rooftop views and more. This will be an immersive drive through experience. While the walking-based Happy Place ran $28.50 per guest, this return is charging $49.50 per car—which should be a bit more cost effective for families.
