We have 82 days to go until Carnival Monday, and by now you should be deciding which fetes to attend, planning your outfits and be heavily in the gym to get your carnival body together.
That said, there a lot of Jouvert bands launching.
What is Jouvert?
J’ouvert is a large street party during Carnival. Jouvert typically happens carnival morning prior to the parade. Participants celebrate with flutes and conch shells while wearing moco jumbie outfits. Paint, oil, mud and powder are also part of the tradition. Since the inception of jouvert, it has taken on a space on its own, often times promoters will have “paint” parties outside of the carnival season.
How do I dress for Jouvert?
Ideally, you should wear clothes that you can get dirty in — for when they throw paint, mud or powder on you. Some participants protect their hair with a shower cap and scarf. Most of the elements wash of easily but extra measures can be taken.

My name is Lancaster. I love your website; I see your doing an excellent job with it. I am having a Paint Boatride in Trinidad on February 26th, 2017 right before jouvert starts, it will be an experience. My band, Avotarz Touché, is hosting the fete and I would like to promote my event through your website. What is the protocol and procedure I should follow?
Thank you for your time.
Lancaster, please send the event flyer and ticket purchase link to my email. firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
