My Travel Essentials for Carnival

Hi Carnivalists!

We’re talking about travel carnival essentials today. We each have our own and i’m here to share mine. So many things go into the process of getting for the road, costume, feathers, shoes, wristlet. Here are the things I could do not go without.

Carnival Fishnets

As a chocolate goddess, I’ve always found it difficult to find flesh tone stockings. They were either too ashy looking, too fragile or just not available, until my problems were solved with Carnivalista. Carnivalista fishnets blend into my skin

Body Butter, Body Wash & Moisturizers

If I could get a dollar for each time someone asked me how do I  get my skin to shine/glow/shimmer/whatever phrase they feel like using and my reply is always the same – Mahogany Butters body butter.  In addition to my 2x daily use of butters, I use a body wash that addresses skin concerns and then seal my skin with an oil. These are some products I’ve had success with

Nipple Pasties

A nip slip is not something I want for myself so I always have nipple flesh colored pasties handy. Carnivalista them or Amazon has some or you can order

Flesh Tone Panty

I recommend hand washing the crotch area of your carnival costume prior to wear, they go through many hands before you wear them. If you won’t have time to wash it, pack a flesh toned gstring to wear underneath.

Exfoliating Towels

Clean and exfoliated skin is glowing skin. I travel with an exfoliating towel especially during carnival trips to ensure my skin looks it’s best. These towels allow me to remove dead skin skills so my skin won’t look dull on the road.

Gel Insoles

Protect the soles of your feet especially if you rock some heels on the road. Here are some insoles I’ve used

Hand Sanitizer

Sanitizers can quickly reduce the number of germs on hands in many situations, you will need some for those portable potties at fetes. Here are some travel friendly options

Sewing Kit

Pack a sewing kit, it will come in handy if a costume panty or bra is too big / small. I would recommend carrying thread the color of your costume in addition to emergency thread colors for any fashion mishaps.

Sunscreen

You’ve been spending so much money and time taking care of your skin, the last thing you want to do is to go back on your progress. Continue to prevent hyperpigmentation on the road by using these SPFs before and after makeup application.

Wristlet / Thigh Pouch

You will need a complementary purse or pouch to store your items during Carnival. For a high end look, order Carnivalista’s Flex Thigh Pouch in any metallic color (10% Discount code: Globey)

Here are some versatile and handsfree optiions:

Portable Phone Charger

My phone NEEDS to stay charged! Hours of recording content, taking photos and roaming kills my battery so I have a small battery pack for the road.

    1. Haha! Have you tried it? I love it so much! Coconut lime and the Tahitian Vanilla are my favorite scents!

  1. I love your blog! I’m headed to Miami carnival with my crew this year. Any tips on hair care /styles? And where you get those fly shades you always rock?
